What is next in 2021?

By Silas Titus

 January 20, 2021

Jesus had His farewell supper with His disciples right before His crucifixion. Not even His disciples understood the intensity of His death and resurrection that was ahead. Little did the disciples know that they were about to witness the greatest harvest of their lifetime within the next 50 days. It was the opening of a new order of Eklessia-the called out ones. There were two surprises that took place ahead of the day of Pentecost. The death of the Lord and His resurrection. On January 20th we saw the farewell of one administration in the USA. The farewell came as a surprise to many people and people from nations that watched what took place in the USA. But they will be even more surprised when the Lord turns around and brings resurrection. After the Lord’s death the disciples were saddened and fearful to the point they hardly believed or conceived that a resurrection was waiting right around the corner.

Humanly speaking it seems like we have exhausted all avenues of justice but God… When the legislative, executive and judicial branches of government have failed to bring justice, it is time for Him to step in. This is not the time for intercessors to give up already thinking that we are going back to the old season.  Rather it is the most exciting time as it is about time for the Lord to show up. We can either choose to be worried and sad. Or we can choose to cooperate with Him to see His glory for all people to see.

What God is about to do is more exciting than what He could have done a month ago or even a day ago. Let us stop saying to the Master like Martha, “if you were here my brother would not have died” looking into our yesterdays. He is here for us today. “If you believe you will see the glory of God” was the Master’s reply. He is for our today and everyday-one day at a time. Let us get out of yesterday faith and apply it to our todays.

It is only the beginning

It may not look like things have settled yet. Many had hoped and prayed for justice. It is also not the time to give up yet. It is only the beginning. We are in the first month of 2021. The Lord is graduating His intercessors to a higher level of intercession going forward. Please know that you are called to be His beloved who have been in the training to be the Gideon’s army in the season ahead. Gideon’s army was only a handful compared to the entire army of Israel. The Lord was intentionally downsizing the so-called warriors. This is not a time to become weary and discouraged. Rather it is time to go all the way to see His glory. Many who believed are tempted to choose to go back to the status quo or the old season. If Coronavirus disrupted church and life as usual the election season was to qualify the intercessors to stand our ground and believe to see what the Lord has spoken to us. We can either be in the category that believe when we see or in the category that will believe to see. The latter group is the ones that has another spirit like Caleb in this season. This another spirit literally means the spirit to follow after Him with all our hearts and at all costs (Num 14:24). This season is about separating the Calebs from the rest of spies. Over 80% of them chose to believe when they can see something and thereby missed possessing their inheritance. The Lord will send us through some filtering to test if we are standing firm on the rock and willing to go all the way in to see His glory.

Don’t ignore the still small voice

As intercessors let us be more prayed up going forward this year and not less. Being threatened by Jezebel, Elijah had to hide in the cave for a small season. Even in the midst of fear for his life, Elijah valued God’s presence. He continuously stood before the Lord’s face or lived in the presence of God. In the midst of the crisis Elijah was in, God chose to encounter him through the still small voice. It was different from the way Elijah was used to. God chose not to manifest Himself through the wind or earthquake at this time. As intercessors we can sometimes get sidetracked by how God is supposed to show up. In the thick of it we tend to lose focus that He is Emmanuel-God with us all the time. Let us not miss on the still small voice everyday while still waiting on Him to manifest mightily as He always does. Do not miss the power of His calm whisper and His closeness during testing times. God was not done with Elijah yet. And so is He in our lives today. God is about to definitely manifest mightily even when we don’t understand fully now. Elijah was spared from Jezebel. Also every word God spoke to Elijah came to pass.

He is taking us into a higher plane of intimacy with Him. He is building in our lives a deeper personal time with Him in the midst of all crises so that we can be finetuned in our hearing and obedience to Him. Shama in Hebrew means to intentionally hear as to obey the Lord. Awsaw in Hebrew is to obey immediately and without hesitation what we hear. Shama and awsaw is commonly used in the Hebrew Bible and it goes together. Note that Shama and awsaw is key to see the breakthrough in the season ahead. He has surprises waiting for us beyond our comprehension. He is taking our hearts off from being swayed by the news cycles and the prophetic voices around us. The Lord wants to first speak to us through His still small voice. If He bought us with the life of His own Son, He cannot afford to outsource speaking to us through others first. He can confirm His voice through prophetic voices and signs following. If we change that order and begin hearing from prophetic voices first before hearing from His Spirit, it can be quite a stretch. For that reason quiet time with Him is more important in this season than ever.

After intercession comes death and then resurrection

Jesus’s intercession at Gethsemane brought Him to a place of death. The answer to prayer and breakthrough did not manifest before death. Even Jesus wished if the cup of death would have passed Him. Likewise, we are also handed over to death through our intercession. But death was not the final answer. Just like the Son of Man yielded saying “not My will but yours be done,” we allow the travail of intercession to take full circle in our lives. The path to manifestation of resurrection came through the process of death. Just like the Sabbath day after the day of death we will experience great rest and peace in this place of death. In this season we are to learn to enter into the sabbath rest. If our intercession in the past season brought us into the place of death and rest we are in the right place. If not we need to check our spirit’s gauges to come back to the place of rest quickly. There is a sabbath day between the death and resurrection. When we go through hardships we wish sabbath happens after the resurrection or breakthrough in our lives. But that is not the order. It is natural to get frustrated in the process of dying. But the Lord can bring us to rest if we yield to Him and take His yoke and learn from Him. Then He shall bring rest to our souls (Matt 11:28). It is from this place of rest in our lives where the breakthrough is launched. The manifestation of breakthrough comes forth according to His power that is at work within us (Eph 3:20). In between we pass through the sabbath rest. The enemy triumphed when they killed Jesus and believed it was all over. But none had a clue what was about to take place after the sabbath.

Intercession leads to death; death to sabbath and then to resurrection. Many believers are already calling it judgment on America. But it is a season He is bringing us to rest from our labor and into the sabbath rest. He is doing this on multiple levels. He is doing this as a nation, in our families, churches and even government leaders and the president. This way the Lord alone receives all the glory in the days ahead.

Don’t miss the harvest; sharpen your tools

The harvest is close to God’s heart in all generations. For God so loved the world… (John 3:16) is arguably Bible in nutshell which demonstrates His heart for the harvest. Harvest of souls has to be dear to every intercessor as well. Why is the Lord allowing this death to take place in true intercessors? For the sake of the harvest. Jesus cried out in the garden of intercession, “not my will but yours be done” thinking of you and me. If we are the early harvest saved by His grace shouldn’t we be compassionate towards the latter harvest that is coming?

Know that in the midst of all the injustice and chaos the Lord is grooming a people for the harvest- the souls that needs to come in. There are many patriotic people who are not necessarily born-again. This group will start to ponder life in the light of all what is unfolding in this nation and see the need of God in their lives like never before. When everything is going well human hearts generally respond passively to the gospel. That is human nature. The hearts of many will become increasingly troubled. Some of their hearts will be drawn to the shepherd of their souls as a result.

The Lord is also showing mercy to the anti-Christian and the ones who have embraced  liberal ideologies apart from God. A remnant from the liberal group also begin to ponder and search for the truth. Their hearts are also groomed for the harvest in this season. There are several reasons people are convinced one way or the other, simply from hatred or manipulation by the mainstream news media and so on. God is giving all a second chance. Many will get a taste of what they asked for in the coming days. Unfortunately, this also includes some hurting Christians and backsliding ones. They will have a taste of what they asked for and hopefully repent later. Some believers are like Thomas that have to see in order to believe. Once they see with their natural eyes hope they turn to the Lord like Thomas did.

While this is a season to watch and pray for the nation like never before it is also a time to prepare to gather the harvest. There are different sets of tools a farmer uses in the sowing season and the harvest season. In the past season the intercessors have done a lot of plowing and now it is time to use the tools of harvest to usher in the revival that is becoming ripe by the day.

Shaking, justice and harvest

This season is beyond four years of presidency. His intention is to usher us to a place and season of unprecedented work of the Lord. Soon after the resurrection of the Lord came the great harvest on the Day of Pentecost. A shaking, exposure of corruption, justice and harvest is imminent. Our puny brains cannot comprehend how all this can happen simultaneously. Our difficulty as humans is that we think linearly. But God can bring all of the above at the same time. God can multi-task and multi-process. Rom 11:33. Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways! Only He can do what needs to be done in this season. Brace yourself for a time where the shaking will happen inside and outside the church. Do not be surprised if you see the body of Christ being divided on policies, prophetic words, theology and so on in the coming days. Judgment begins in the house of God first. Only the Lord can do a deep cleansing  in our midst, remove corruption, bring justice and usher in the harvest all at the same time. His ways are beyond our comprehension.

It is not a president’s or a legislators or a military’s plan that can bring healing in the USA. It is God’s plan that is bringing restoration. For His plan God will use people in the courts, military and so on. There will arise a group of individuals who are inspired by the Lord to do His will from all spheres of society. As we pray God will bring it to pass through people in positions of government and military to bring about His plan. The Lord can do with or without anyone of us. In one instance He used an angel to kill 185,000 of the enemy camp and in other instance He used the armies of Israel in the battle. But more importantly, it is the role of intercessors that continues to play a key role. When Aaron and Hur held the hand of Moses up, Joshua in the valley won the battles (Ex 17). The intercessors has a important role to play on the mountain just like Aaron and Hur did. The outcome is not just determined in the valley below. It is dependent on whether the hand of Moses was up or down in the mountain top. The outcome of battle is with the Lord and therefore the intercessors wage war from the third heaven to make sure that the people in the forefront of the battle like the Joshuas are winning.

Enter into the double portion anointing

In 2 Kings 6 Elisha faced a huge crisis as an enemy army surrounded his house. He was just a prophet. He had no armed guards. It may seem like the believers are also surrounded by the powers of darkness around in some way today. The Aramean army couldn’t bind a heavenly man like Elisha. The enemy can compass your city and your neighborhood but not you. The Lord wants to elevate the remnant intercessors in this season to operate in the Elisha’s anointing. It is one thing to ask the Lord for a double portion anointing like Elisha did. It is another thing to pursue Him all the way like Elisha did. We pray that our eyes be opened to see clearly just like Elisha’s servant eyes was opened. The Lord wants to open our eyes to see the real heavenly force around us for the season ahead. Do not fear. The heavenly realm that surrounds you is more in size, number, rank, quality than the ones you see with your naked eyes.

Only when our eyes are opened, we are able to operate in the anointing of Elisha or in the double portion anointing. It is from that place that we can pray the prayer of binding and losing like Elisha. The same Elisha who prayed for his servant’s eyes to be opened prayed for blindness to come upon the enemy camp in his next prayer. When Elisha prayed, the enemy that came to attack him lost their purpose of direction and action steps. They were struck with blindness. They weren’t able to bring about all their wits and plans. Instead they were brought as sheep to the slaughterer to the king of Israel.

The Elisha anointing in this season is activated for intercessors to operate from the heavenly realm. It surpasses the threat that seems real all around us. Let us therefore pursue the Lord fully as we have entered into the era of double portion. The Lord wants to give us the anointing of Elisha to operate in signs, wonders and great breakthroughs. This anointing will cost everything. For this we have to forsake everything and follow the Master like Elisha did and the disciples did. “…they left everything and followed Jesus.” (Luke 5:11) He wants to equip the intercessors to operate in Elisha anointing in this season. Through all the staggering events in the past season, God is still right on time to bring us into the fullness of our destinies. Being four days late, He was still on time for Lazarus.

The key is to hear every single direction from Him and to take steps in obedience-to Shama and awsaw. The Lord has instructions for us every day as we listen to Him carefully. We cannot be driven by one event after the other. Elisha maintained a daily walk with the Lord. The anointing and daily walk with the Lord goes hand in hand. One cannot be separated from the other. Every day in Elisha’s life was eventful. His prayer life was not based on the intensity of the crisis he faced. To his surprise the king of Israel was advised by Elisha to feed the enemy well and send them back instead of killing them (2 Kings 6:21-23). However, the enemy never returned again. For a person operating from the heavenly realm like Elisha, the threat from human enemies was far less than the power of heavenly armies. The Lord is taking us up a notch higher in our personal relationship and walk with Him into our next level in 2021. There is a harvest awaiting the resurrection power. He is  bringing about the harvest and the great turnaround in America through these times of shaking.

Yes and amen!! When we have prayed, fasted and obeyed then we stand and watch the deliverance of the Lord.
Like the lukewarm church in Rev. 3 we are advised to purchase gold refined by fire, which I believe is “tried faith” , to purchase white garments to cover our nakedness and to purchase eye salve to heal our blindness.
Thank you Silas for admonishing us to obey Holy Spirit now in this shifting season, His still small voice will be a clear as a bell for those who slow down and wait on Him!!

    Hi Silas,
Thank you for wading through all the prophetic chatter with this thoughtful and encouraging word. It’s a balanced reflection on where we are at from a biblical perspective. I believe you’ve laid the groundwork for how we should be thinking about where the Lord is taking us from here.
I’m looking forward to His simultaneous work of “a deep cleansing in our midst, remove corruption, bring justice and usher in the harvest at the same time.” Amen!

      Brother Silas:

This is an absolutely amazing and timely word.

Yesterday I woke at 4 am and felt the Shalom of God, yet an “unsettling feeling” in my spirit – hard to explain. However, His ways are higher than ours.

Thank you for this tremendous encouragement to the Body of Christ which I will run with during 2021 as I seek God’s face.

God bless you and your family – Brother Silas.

      Yours in Christ,

I agree with what you wrote. I like the part when Jesus died the enemy thought it was over, but God had another plan. So it is with America, God has a plan and we are part of it. We will continue as intercessors bringing in the harvest and believing till our destiny is complete

Pastor Silas, this word is right on target. I agree that God is taking His Servants higher. Those that are totally submitted and in obedience to Him and His Kingdom Plan for the Harvest. May we all heed this word and get closer to God in order to hear that still small voice of direction and be ready to fall into place as He calls for His army to the Harvest with signs, wonders and miracles to address all of there needs. Be blessed. Thank you

Let us know that God is God Almighty because He has answer in all situations even where it seems to be no way.

This mean that, even if the entire world gets collapsed now, the Lord God can restand it in few minutes if He want it so.

As the Bible said , For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

With the above mentioned scripture, I believe the love of God had bind God with us because He really loved us that He gave His only begotten son, Jesus Christ for us.

For some people who may be afraid that the world is about to be perish, they might be doing so as a result of fear. But let me tell you this that, If the world must perish, God will have to undo His love for us before He can allowed us to be perish, which I am not sure that God will undo His love for us, so if God will not undo His love for us, He will not also allowed us to perish now.

Therefore, everyone should be encourage to fear not, and continue to trust God for His covenant of love for us.

      Be bless in Jesus name.

We have all fallen short, but our God is a god of grace and mercy who forgives us if we only repent and humble ourselves. As a nation we must be more on our knees.
