Repentance
Calling the Bride back to true worship and sacrificial devotion to God.
If My People Who Are Called by My Name…
These timeless words echo from 2 Chronicles 7:14—a divine invitation, a call to return, to humble ourselves, to seek His face, and to be healed. But who are His people?
Do you belong to any of the above categories? REPENT2020 is a movement of turning back of hearts to Yhwh and making it a simple priority for 2020 and beyond. It takes three steps…

1. Humble Yourself
God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. Before you pray or repent, the first step is to be humble in the presence of the Lord (Jam 4:6,10). Prayer is not conversation with another human and therefore pride has no place in prayer.

2. Pray
Prayer is not a monologue. It is willingness to find what He has to say to you as well. You listen in prayer because you want to follow and conform to what God has to say. Listening and obedience goes hand in hand.

3. Repent
Repentance is making a 360 degree turn from your own ways and to God’s ways. It is not the same as feeling bad about what you did or have a remorse. Humbleness and prayer precedes true repentance.

Three Things From Above

I Will Hear From Heaven
For God to influence your circumstances, your prayer needs to influence heaven. When your prayer meets the conditions above, He promises to hear you. The answer comes from a realm that is above your reasoning and everyday situations.

Forgive Your Sins
The biggest hindrance for heaven to intervene in your situation is your sins. Either you pay the penalty of your own sins or someone else has to pay on your behalf. Forgiveness comes with a price and the price was paid in full on the cross for you to be forgiven.

Heal Your Land
As your life’s file is cleared before God, the circumstances around your life also needs healing. Healing is a two step process. The healing God promises to you is extended towards healing of the land. All creation is eagerly waiting for this to happen!
ReviveThyWork Movement
Know The Truth. Believe With Your Heart. Be Willing To Pay The Price.
We talk about movements—revivals, reformations, awakenings.
But unless we learn to move with the Holy Spirit, our efforts risk becoming just another movement in name only.
True transformation begins with repentance—not as a ritual, but as a radical turning. It’s the alignment of the human heart with the very creative power of the universe—YHWH.
That’s where real power is born. That’s where movements ignite.
The Pattern of Power
History’s greatest movements—whether spiritual, political, or social—were birthed from a deep commitment to a cause.
They cost something.
The Church claims to carry the Good News. We’re even called believers.
But too often, we stop short of actually believing enough to pay the price.
We hope for change, but hesitate at the altar of comfort.
Every Movement Requires a Sacrifice
Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice.
And His twelve followed in His footsteps.
So did the thousands who gave all for causes from civil rights to reformation—believing people moved by conviction, not convenience.
It’s Time to Move
This isn’t about starting a trend.
It’s about aligning with the heartbeat of heaven—repenting, believing, and following the Spirit wherever He leads.
Will you move with Him?
Will you be part of what’s next—not just in name, but in power?

Thomas Watson
For further meditation on the topic of repentance, Thomas Watson’s Doctrine of Repentance is a classic read. Repentance is down played and is one of the least used words in Christian church today. The Good News in the New Testament was debuted with a strong emphasis on repentance both by John the Baptist and Jesus. There is a need for ongoing repentance and a lifestyle of repentance. Thomas Watson (1620-1686) was one of the most popular puritans and reformed theologians. His writings influenced Jonathan Edwards, the First Great Awakening and reverberated throughout American life.

The Time Is Now
We welcome anyone who senses the urgency and the calling to gather—whether as individuals, churches, or entire communities—around one central cause: REPENTANCE.
The movement of Jesus began with a simple, 10-second proclamation:
“The time is now! The Kingdom of God is near! REPENT and keep believing the Good News!”
— Mark 1:15
This same call echoes today.
You don’t need permission. You need conviction.
We encourage you to prayerfully self-organize—in your city, your neighborhood, your church, your network—and begin to mobilize around this holy cause.

Quotes

President George Washington, Inaugural Address April 30, 1789
“[I]t would be peculiarly improper to omit in this first official act my fervent supplications to that Almighty Being who rules over the universe, who presides in the councils of nations, and whose providential aids can supply every human defect, that His benediction may consecrate to the liberties and happiness of the people of the United States a government instituted by themselves for these essential purposes, and may enable every instrument employed in its administration to execute with success the functions allotted to his charge.”

President Abe Lincoln, April 30, 1863
“We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of heaven; we have been preserved these many years in peace and prosperity; we have grown in numbers, wealth and power as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us, and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us. It behooves us, then, to humble ourselves before the offended Power, to confess our national sins, and to pray for clemency and forgiveness.”

President Woodrow Wilson, May 30, 1918
“I, Woodrow Wilson, president of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim Thursday, the 30th day of May, a day already freighted with sacred and stimulating memories, a day of public humiliation, prayer and fasting, and do exhort my fellow citizens of all faiths and creeds to assemble on that day in their several places of worship and there, as well as in their homes, to pray Almighty God that He may forgive our sins and shortcomings as a people and purify our hearts to see and love the truth, to accept and defend all things that are just and right, and to purpose only those righteous acts and judgments which are in conformity with His will.”
Samuel Langdon, Harvard President, May 1775
My brethren let us repent and implore the divine mercy. Let us amend our ways and our doings, reform everything that has been provoking the Most High, and thus endeavor to obtain the gracious interpositions of providence for our deliverance…
Julia Ward Howe, Battle Hymn of the Republic, 1861
He has sounded forth the trumpet
That shall never call retreat;
He is sifting out the hearts of men
Before His judgement seat;
Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him;
Be jubilant, my feet;
Our God is marching on.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
His truth is marching on.
