1. Humble Yourself
God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. Before you pray or repent, the first step is to be humble in the presence of the Lord (Jam 4:6,10). Prayer is not conversation with another human and therefore pride has no place in prayer. Humble yourselves before the Lord.
2. Pray
Prayer goes hand in hand with seeking God’s face according to 2 Chronicles 7:14. Prayer is not a monologue. It is willingness to find what He has to say to you as well. You listen in prayer because you want to follow and conform to what God has to say. Listening and obedience goes hand in hand.
3. Repent
Repentance is making a 360 degree turn from your own ways and to God’s ways. To repent according to 2 Chro 7:14 is to turn from your wicked ways. It is not the same as feeling bad about what you did or have a remorse. Humbleness and prayer precedes true repentance.

Three Things From Above
THEN I Will Hear From Heaven
When your prayer meets the conditions above, He promises to hear you. There is no other way to access heaven. The answer comes from a realm that is above your reasoning and everyday situations. For God to influence your circumstances, your prayer needs to influence heaven.
Forgive Your Sins
The biggest hindrance for heaven to intervene in your situation is your sins. Either you pay the penalty of your own sins or someone else has to pay on your behalf. Forgiveness comes with a price and the price was paid in full on the cross for you to be forgiven.
Heal Your Land
As your life’s file is cleared before God, the circumstances around your life also needs healing. Healing is a two step process. The healing God promises to you is also extended to healing of the land and circumstances around you. All creation is eagerly waiting for this to happen!

If you humble and repent before the Lord, the Lord will restore you and give you a 2020 vision and clarity in your spiritual understanding moving into year 2020 and beyond
Be Humble or be humiliated
The people of Nineveh took the warning from prophet Jonah seriously. To everyone’s surprise they believed God, repented, turned from their evil ways and violence in their hands and they were spared from judgement. Obviously not all would repent. They face consequences.

From Reprieve to Repentance.
Welcome to 20204! We have already passed four years into the decade of 2020 and have hardly scratched the surface of God’s heart for us and for the nations of the world. We are thankful for the answered prayers of the past but not content with our apathy and state of our lives and nation. When Nineveh repented, they repented like crazy. They called for a fast, and from the greatest to the least important of them, they put on sackcloth. The reprieve for Nineveh lasted for almost 200 years. The people of Nineveh hardly knew God but took repentance seriously. If you identify with people who are “called by His name” it is time to heed to the clarion call to be close to God in 2024 than ever. It is time to see new breakthroughs and answered prayers.
What if 2024 is time to see the greatest revival and the biggest harvest of souls in our generation? Humbling and repentance is the first step to eternal destiny. It is an open invitation to people of all party lines and races. God has a warning and loving invitation. It is up to each of us to make the choice. The right choice is to be HUMBLE, PRAY and REPENT. There begins the road to recovery. “For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans for well-being, and not for calamity, in order to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 20:11).
Repentance is key for all heaven to break loose. It brings harvest of souls through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and healing of the land. Division and chaos is what evil thrives on. RepentAmerica2020 is about your destiny. It is to rightly position our lives before the God of the universe and King of kings. It is time for healing and restoration of our lives, leaders and land.

Speaking of movements, the greatest movements in the history of humankind came from deep commitment to a cause or motto by believing people. Church people believe they have the GOOD NEWS and are even called believers. But often lack to believe enough or pay the price to commit to see a movement. Every movement from religious to secular came with a sacrifice. Jesus paid the biggest sacrifice and His twelve followed the same. The same pattern is seen in thousands who sacrifice for their causes – from civil rights and political causes in every period in history.

Thomas Watson
For further meditation on the topic of repentance, Thomas Watson’s Doctrine of Repentance is a classic read. Repentance is down played and is one of the least used words in Christian church today. The Good News in the New Testament was debuted with a strong emphasis on repentance both by John the Baptist and Jesus. There is a need for ongoing repentance and a lifestyle of repentance. Thomas Watson (1620-1686) was one of the most popular puritans and reformed theologians. His writings influenced Jonathan Edwards, the First Great Awakening and reverberated throughout American life.
